DeltaHacks is the annual hackathon for change, it’s even in the name! The primary focus of DeltaHacks is to enable hackers from all over the world to make a change, whether it be in education, finance, health or any other field, we’re extremely passionate about hacking to make a positive change! We work with McMaster University to welcome hackers of all levels, from the novice to the most experienced! We supply the platform, workshops, events, and swag, to provide even the most seasoned veterans with new experiences. Now in our 9th year running, DeltaHacks 9 is our first in-person event back! Join us this January and take part in an experience you won’t forget!
Requirements
Please submit your project to Devpost for judging!
Judging will be conducted in-person this year in PGCLL M21! After project submission on Devpost, we will inform you and your team on the table you are suppose to present on. Join the table during judging time with your team and be ready to present!
Live presentations will be conducted, with 3 minutes to present your project and 2 minutes for questions. Winners will be announced during Closing Ceremonies on Sunday January 15th.

Winners of this challenge receiving a Fitbit Inspire 3 Fitness Tracker with Heart Rate Monitor for each team member to monitor our health when creating epic designs. This prize is awarded to the team with the best visually appealing hack.
Best Productivity Hack
Developing a project that can help with procrastination and productivity? Winners of the Best Productivity Hack will receive a De'Longshi Espresso Machine, Latte & Cappuccino Maker. This prize is awarded to the team with the best hack related to productivity.

Google Developer Student Club Challenge
Build a project that solves for one of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals using Google technology (one or more from https://developers.google.com/products).
Winners be given entrance to the Google Incubator Program and receive $25 for each member.
Med X Insight Challenge First Place
Students build a pill tracking bottle that can see the number of medication pills in a container and send a notification to a mobile / web app when a pill is taken out. The primary considerations should be: The accuracy of the pill tracking. The device should not just see if the bottle is opened or closed, Transmitting data when a pill is taken out. The device should be highly portable.
Team members will be awarded a $75 Amazon gift card.
